This vivid and intricate piece is part of Stella’s celebrated late-80s print series, where he fused architecture, abstraction, and painterly gesture into a dynamic new visual language. The title, which translates to “Good as Salt,” nods to the essential, foundational quality of creativity in our lives; just like salt in food.

Known as a pioneer of postwar abstraction, Frank Stella (b. 1936 – d. 2024) broke the rules early on and never looked back. From minimalism to maximalism, from canvas to metal to monumental public works, Stella’s legacy spans decades of relentless experimentation and innovation.
